Proof that Hollander is Run by High-Level Scientologists:
In a job posting by John Miranda:
On December 6, 1998, John Miranda placed a job offer on a Scientologist mailing list for an opening at Hollanders. The prerequisite was "Hollander Consultants needs very capable, theta consultants" and went on how the company "get many, many clients onto and up the Bridge." Which is of course Scientology's supposed bridge to freedom. The job offer was place because of expansion and one of the Hollander "consultants will be leaving for Flag within a few months to do OT 6 and onto 7. The Tech Sec who also does some consulting is planning to the same within the next year. Four of the other 6 consultants have OT levels paid for and are going to be doing them in sequence, the first one leaving for AOLA in February."
Proof that Hollander Consultants Indoctrinates:
From the Founder:
PROSPERITY: What is your objective as a WISE member?
HOLLANDER: My objective is to get as much technology into the environment as possible because that is contributing to Clearing the Planet. In fact, our real product here is clients who are winning with L. Ron Hubbard's Technology and reaching for more. We have gotten literally hundreds of people on the lines. In 1986 alone, we got 82 people started on the Bridge. From March 1986 to March 1987 the income to [Scientology] organizations from our clients has been $362,197. My feeling about this is that WISE members like ourselves can have a great impact on Clearing the Planet in terms of dissemination (WISE 1987: 9).
From an Ex-employee:
I worked at Hollander Consultants for 4 years. Hello to Valerie Emanuel if you read this. I was working there when you came. I even talked to you on the phone a few times. I remember I felt really good because for some reason you liked talking to me. But it was scary, too because you are very sharp and asked tough questions, and I don’t like being dishonest. I read on your website that you thought that things had been changed around just for your visit. Well, you were right. We hid all the books that were too Scientology - like Science of Survival, Intro to Scientology Ethics, etc., and even took down LRH’s picture from the course room to keep you from having any “ammo”. Seems that you got plenty anyway.

What People Go Through
Abuse by Hollander Staff:
In 1995, 4 years after opening this practice, I was contacted by a "management company", Hollander Consultants. I was led to believe that they had the solutions to my problems!!
While I was there my (new) live-in (we were engaged) was supposed to be taking care of my cats. I called one night to check on them. He was obviously drunk. We hadn't been together long, and he lied and told me he was a recovering alcoholic and never drank. He told me things that were contradictory and I was very upset and worried about my house and my cats. The "consultant", Doug Carter, used this to introvert me more. He showed me my OCA and told me how horrible my life was. At the time, it sure seemed true. So he got me on the phone with Dave Worthen, a registrar at Orange County Org. I didn't have a clue who he was. I was just told "I know someone who can help you". I was on the phone with him for about an hour and a half. He severely upset and introverted me by pointing out all my horrible problems. He even made some up. I was crying the whole time I was on the phone with him, and was finally badgered into buying the "introductory auditing package" for $1300. I thought, I need help, and it won't hurt to try it (WRONG!), and nothing else has helped me.
So, after I had a "win", I was sent to meet Dave Worthen. I spent an ENTIRE DAY in his office. I remember him telling me a bunch of crap like "Boy, you sure have one HELL of a reactive mind!" and suggesting that the reason I had problems was that "Maybe someone like your brother or your father stuck his finger up your twat and now you are too blinded to see" and other banal BS. (I was never sexually abused as a child, and did not suggest that to him- he's just a sicko). He wanted me to call my bank and borrow the money to buy a "clear package". I was coerced into calling my office to ask how much money there was in my account. Looking back, I think, WHY the hell did I do that? But, there you are, introverted, crying-no, bawling-your eyes out, and this asshole is in your face, handing you a phone, even going so far as to dial the numbers for you!!! But hey, he did it to "save my life". Any of these techniques sounding familiar? Kind of like the SO cult tech, too, huh?
Bruce Johnson sold his life:
I am a Veterinarian that practiced in Laramie, Wy for 24 years. In 1993 Hollander Consultants introduced me to Scientology. After one consultation with Dave Worthen in Orange County begging to be allowed to join.
I sold my practice and home in Laramie in 1997 in order to relocate to L.A. to go OT** at a Scientology Advanced Organization.
Ilona Bischoff was indoctrinated:
I first was introduced to Scientology through the Management Technology of L. Ron Hubbard. My business was nothing but frustration after frustration, both dealing with the public and staff. My husband and I were searching for answers. We tried several management consultants. One told us there was nothing wrong with our business, the other thought maybe he could help.
Then a consultant from Hollander Consultants showed up. They use only L. Ron Hubbard Management Technology. We took some training and from there on out it was GO for the business.
Ed Harmer was indoctrinated:
I'm an optometrist and I was introduced to Scientology when I took a business consulting courses from Hollander Consultants which use the administrative works of L. Ron Hubbard.
Jim Pinkerton was indoctrinated:
I am a veterinarian and have a thriving pet practice in Memphis, Tennessee. I was introduced to Scientology by a business consultant at Hollander Consultants.
Hollander's Shady Business Practices
Valerie Emanuel was ripped off
Hollander Consultants was Investigated by Podiatry Today
Hollander Consultants, founded eight years ago in Oregon, initially catered to practices in the Northwest. Now it is international in scope, reaching into Canada and targeting the entire United States. According to co-founder Larry Silver, however, Hollander's current game plan is to cut back, stay small, and market horizontally in the Northwest gain.
According to Silver and Wile}; each of the WISE firms pays licensing fees as high as ten to fifteen percent of the monies paid for courses, seminars. and other services. Thus, if Sterling actually did enjoy the $17 to $19 million in revenues last year cited by Wiley, then in 1989, more than $1.8 million from this firm alone would have been paid to WISE and, by extension, flowed into Church of Scientology's coffers.
The connection between the Church of Scientology and the six WISE Group firms this reporter contacted is not always made clear to inquirers. When contacted by Podiatry Today, only Sterling offered the fact that Hubbard developed the management courses provided by the firm. It possible to speak with IMV employees for nearly thirty minutes and never hear the words "Hubbard" or "Scientology;' Hollander's Larry Silver only reluctantly mentioned Hubbard and was the most insistent about not having a relationship with Scientology.
"We don't have anything to do with Scientology whatsoever:' Silver states emphatically. "We go to extreme lengths to keep these things separated out because we do not want religion having anything to do with practice management. We just are not the Church of Scientology. We're a privately held company that's licensed to use the system." Silver says the fact that Hubbard is credited as the author of the materials ks announced at the introductory seminars, and that information is contained in the contract, as well. He maintains that information on the Church and auditing is not offered unless someone specifically asks.
Uptrends co-founder Hearsey says, however, that those who attend the Hubbard Management Technologies courses become involved in Scientology.
"twenty to thirty percent of the time." He adds, "We'll recommend it to executives. If a guy's not happy in his marrage or with himself, that has a direct impact on his ability to run his organization." Hearsey admits he is a "very strong advocate of Scientology," and that it is "more common than not" for people to ask, "What about this book Dianetics?"
Once a request for Scientology information is made, you may never stop hearing about it. "They will really push people they feel they can get into the Church," states podiatrist Dr. Hineser. He speaks from experience. Last year he was scheduled to go to Atlanta for further Stellar courses, and reports a top Scientology. auditor from Florida was flown in for the occasion. "I felt they. were pressing me while I was there, and I came down on them with both feet," he recalls.
Hollander Consultants doesn't give refunds
I've heard from a number of people regarding Hollander's since putting up my website. Between the folks who've asked for their money back and the ones who have avoided the company completely, I'd estimate that it has cost them at least twenty (that's 20) times the revenue they got from me. I wonder if it was worth it?
Below is the latest unhappy consumer...
I wrote you a while back. I signed on with Hollander in January and tried to pull out when I found out about them. Let me give you an update. I immediately placed the charges in dispute with Visa. Visa is still considering the matter however things don't look great because Hollander has a no refund clause in its contract (I took that to mean that I couldn't sit through all their classes then ask for my money back. I guess it is easy for dishonest people to cheat honest people.)
